Contribute to the model!
This operational model is open source. The aim of this project is that it is maintained by people who have first hand experience with that works, and what does not work. If you thought this model was very useful, please consider contributing to it.
Who can contribute?
Anyone is allowed to contribute. As this project is about an operational model for a central Ansible Automation Platform, it’s suitable that you have some experience with a successful implementation.
How do you contribute?
There are many ways you can contribute to this model which does not include writing any code.
Contributing content via GitLab issues
If there is something missing, you can create an Issue, by clicking on “New Issue”, here.
If you do not have a GitLab account, you can connect your GitHub account to GitLab, simplifying the process of getting access.
Contributing content via git
This webpage is generated using a so called static page generator, named Hugo. It turns .md files into the static web pages of this site. So contributing is not more difficult than contributing a change to one of these .md files.
Follow below guide to create your first contribution:
Contribute changes in the form of a pull request including changes to the .md files which maps to the part of the operational model which you want to contribute to.
- The MVP definition of the Operational Model is located in the mvp.md file, in the content/en folder.
- The 2.0 definitions of the Operational Model is located in the twozero.md file, in the content/en folder.
- The Advanced definitions of the Operational Model is located in the advanced.md file, in the content/en folder.
3.If you want to contribute brand new items in the model, at this point, the maintainers of the project need to help you to update the graphics. Atm, just focus on writing the content.
4.If you want to add graphics, put images here, in the assets/images folder. And refer to them as such:
